Senspex Receives Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award

Rio Rancho, NM - Senspex is honored to announce that our company has received the U.S. Department of Labor's small business Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award for a second consecutive year. We are one of seven companies in New Mexico and part of 676 companies in the country to receive this award; collectively hiring more than 37,000 veterans since 2018. 

The HIRE Vets program grew out of the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 that aims to recognize the companies dedicated to employing veterans. Employers have an opportunity to receive either a Gold or Platinum award and are awarded based on their percentage of hired and retained veteran employees in 2019. Small employers, those with 1 - 50 total employees, were required to show that at least 7% of all new hires were veterans and that at least 7% of employees were veterans at the end of the year to qualify for a Gold award. 

As a small business, Senspex exceeded the requirements for the small employer Gold award with a 33.3% veteran hiring rate and a 12.5% veteran employee rate for 2019. We are proud to join this effort and community that supports veterans, especially in the technology and surveillance industry.
