On November 6, 2019 , Senspex was awarded the U.S. Department of Labor’s small business 2019 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award for our commitment to employ, retain, and support veterans and the veteran community. Senspex was one of only three recipients of the 2019 HIRE Vets Medallion Award in the State of New Mexico and 427 from around the nation.
The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development. There are two award tiers, Gold and Platinum, and for each award, an employer must satisfy a set of criteria that includes percentage of employees hired who are veterans and percentage of veterans who are retained.
Eligibility requirements for the small employer 2019 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award were not less than 7% of employees hired in 2018 were veterans and at least 7% of employees were veterans at year end; an employer could not having any DOL labor law violations identified in 20 CFR 1011.120 as well. Senspex exceeded the minimum criteria with a 22.7% veteran hiring rate and a 10.4% veteran employee rate for 2018.
