Senspex has gone through many changes since its establishment in 2001. What began as a research grant for nanotechnology soon grew into something quite different. Janelle Anthone, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, became intrigued by high-resolution imagers at a trade-show and knew this was something Senspex could capitalize on. Senspex shifted gears and started installing high-resolution imaging cameras and security systems. With the ups and downs of beginning a new business, Senspex persevered and took advantage of the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) program. The company focused its efforts on designing and installing security systems for the federal government and commercial applications. While the adjustments to the original vision for Senspex were difficult for President and CEO Miguel Moreno at first, the success of the company has proven that the changes were worthwhile.
