Senspex Awarded QREWS Contract
Today Fibertek, Senspex, and a team of 44 other subcontractors were awarded the “Quick Reaction Engineering for Warfighter Sensing (QREWS)” contract by the US Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM). This contract is to provide support to the Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center’s (CERDEC’s) Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) and sensor research and development community to accomplish its mission. An 18 month, small business set-aside, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract worth a maximum of $245M, QREWS will enable NVESD to perform its Warfighter-critical mission of research, development, experimentation, engineering, prototyping and field support of night vision, electro-optical, electronic sensors, countermine and counter-improvised explosive device systems. The QREWS contract pertains to equipment, systems, facilities, and operations under the responsibility of NVESD and its partners both in the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside CONUS (OCONUS).
