Are you looking to test and grow your electronic skills? Senspex is currently recruiting for an energetic and motivated Electronic Repair Technician for our project realization team. This team member is critical to the success of our missions and responsible for providing professional repair and maintenance services to support Senspex products and services.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings for building security systems and installing system wiring to perform complete set-up and initial testing

  • Perform diagnosis, repair, verification, testing, calibration, and complex troubleshooting processes relating to the repair of surveillance equipment and thermal imaging cameras

  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary

  • Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.

  • Provide support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades, and enhancements

  • Work under demanding physical and environmental conditions

  • Attend conferences, workshops, or other training to maintain knowledge, develop skill sets, and expand career development

  • Travel is required, up to 40%, domestic and international

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent certifications plus five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • Ability to travel, 40%, domestic and international

  • Knowledge of security component installation, testing, service, and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Confident and dynamic personality; approachable and friendly with a positive and professional attitude

  • Ability to work independently and provide project and installation support

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal

  • Equipment operation, commercial trucking, electrical, electronics and radio communications training

  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits; shielding and grounding, RF and multi-conductor cables; and/or fiber optics communication

  • Experience using electronic diagnosis and repair tools such as voltmeter, oscilloscope, ESD control equipment and soldering tools

  • Machine tool experience: drill press, grinder, power hand tools

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies, including motion control, embedded firmware controllers, optical assemblies, and low voltage power systems

  • Working knowledge of CAD tools and the ability to perform documentation of field installations

  • Experience working in a military or federal environment

 

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States

  • This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD national security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs

  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
